Serving Guildford

Pool care for Guildford homes.

We look after pools and hot tubs across Guildford and the villages around it: Merrow, Burpham, Shalford, Bramley, Wonersh, Shere and out along the Hog's Back. It's a straightforward run up from our base near Pulborough, so Guildford sits comfortably inside our regular service routes.

Many Guildford pools sit in the gardens of larger detached homes on the edge of the Surrey Hills, often built decades ago and now due for new liners, plant rooms or heating. Closer to town, we see more compact outdoor pools and an increasing number of hot tubs and swim spas.

Surrey water is generally hard, so scale on tiles, heaters and filter media is something we keep a close eye on at every Guildford visit.

Local issues

Common pool problems in Guildford.

Hard water scale

Guildford's hard water leaves limescale on waterline tiles, heat exchangers and filters. Left unchecked it reduces heating efficiency and shortens equipment life.

Leaf fall from mature gardens

Pools surrounded by established trees in areas like Merrow and the Surrey Hills fill skimmers and stain liners every autumn, so covers and regular cleaning matter.

Ageing plant rooms

Many pools in older Guildford properties still run on original pumps and heaters. They work, but cost far more to run than modern equipment.

Chalk and clay ground

Ground movement on the clay and chalk around the North Downs can stress older pipework, a common hidden cause of slow water loss.

"Fantastic service by Anthony, Owner of Baldwin's Pools. I had some stupid quotes, and told Anthony what I had to spend, and he got my pool project done on budget as agreed, not a pound out... overall the site was kept neat and tidy. Refreshing to deal with this company."
