About this service
Fast fixes for pool equipment.
Pool repairs cover the equipment that keeps your water moving, clean and warm: pumps, filters, multiport valves, chlorinators and dosing systems, heaters and heat pumps, and the pipework connecting them. It also covers leak repair: finding exactly where your pool is losing water, whether through the liner or shell, a fitting, underground pipework or the plant room, and fixing the cause.
We diagnose the fault, explain what's wrong and quote quickly. Customers have described getting a quote by return and the new part installed the next day, and a visit the day after calling. Speed matters because a pool with a broken pump or filter starts to turn within days.
It is for any pool owner whose pump has stopped or is noisy, whose filter pressure is high, whose valve is leaking or whose water won't stay clear. Professional help matters because the symptom is often not the cause: a pump that keeps tripping may be fine, while the real problem is a blocked filter or failing valve. Fixing the right part first saves money.
If it's ignored
Why a small fault shouldn't wait.
Pool equipment works as a system. One failing part puts strain on the rest.
Water turns quickly
Without circulation and filtration, water goes cloudy then green within days in warm weather, adding a costly clean-up to the repair.
Knock-on damage
A blocked filter overworks the pump; a leaking valve lets air in and burns out seals. One fault left running becomes two.
Wasted water and heat
Leaking valves and fittings lose heated, treated water: paid for twice, then lost.
Leaks that keep costing
Every litre lost to a leak has to be replaced, reheated and re-treated, and escaping water can wash out the ground behind walls and under surrounds.
Electrical risk
Water getting into pumps or heaters is a safety issue as well as a repair one.
Watch out for
Common mistakes we see
- Replacing the pump when the real problem is the filter or valve
- Running a noisy or overheating pump until it fails completely
- Buying parts online that don't match the existing system
- Ignoring a rising pressure gauge
- Assuming water loss is evaporation without testing
- Patching a visible spot without finding the real source of a leak
Our process
Five clear steps, no surprises.
- 01
Call or message
Tell us what's happening. Many issues can be narrowed down on the phone.
- 02
Diagnosis and leak tracing
A visit to find the actual cause, not just the symptom. For water loss, systematic checks of the shell or liner, fittings, pipework and plant to locate the leak.
- 03
Quote and repair
A clear quote, then the repair or replacement, often the next day once agreed.
- 04
Testing
Flow, pressure and leaks checked, the system run, and the water level monitored after a leak repair to confirm the loss has stopped.
- 05
Completion and guarantee
Water rebalanced if needed, and guarantee terms for the work confirmed in writing.

In detail
Equipment and leaks we repair.
Most pool faults involve one of these components, or a leak in one of the places below.
Pumps
Signs of trouble include humming without starting, loud grinding, leaks at the seal or tripping the electrics. We repair or replace pumps and can advise on efficient variable-speed options.
Filters
Sand, glass-media and cartridge filters lose performance with age. High pressure, cloudy water or sand returning to the pool all point to the filter. Media changes and full filter replacements are carried out.
Multiport valves
The valve directs water for filtering, backwashing and rinsing. Worn spider gaskets cause leaks to waste and poor filtration. Valves are replaced quickly, often the next day.
Chlorinators and dosing
Automatic chlorinators and dosing systems keep sanitiser levels steady. When they fail, water quality drops fast. We replace and set them up correctly.
Heaters and heat pumps
Heating faults range from simple flow problems to failed components. We diagnose and repair, or advise on replacement where repair doesn't make sense.
Leaks in liners and shells
Tears, punctures and worn seams in vinyl liners, or cracks and failed grout in tiled and concrete shells, let water escape. Small damage can often be patched; aged liners may need replacement.
Leaking fittings
Skimmers, return jets, main drains and lights all pass through the pool wall. Their seals degrade over time and are a very common leak point.
Underground pipework leaks
Joints and pipes between the pool and plant room can crack or separate. Signs include damp patches along pipe runs or losses only while the pump runs.
Above-ground and commercial pools
We repair above-ground pools that other companies turn away, as well as domestic and commercial in-ground pools.
FAQs
Swimming Pool & Leak Repair: your questions.
Can't see yours? Call 07879 067691.
How much does a pool repair cost?
It depends on the fault and the parts needed. Once we know what's wrong, you'll get a clear quote before any work starts.
How quickly can you come out?
We aim to respond quickly. Customers have described a visit the next day and parts installed the day after quoting.
Do you offer emergency repairs?
Call 07879 067691. We work from 7am until late and will get to urgent faults as quickly as we can.
Should I repair or replace my pump?
It depends on its age, the fault and running costs. We'll give you both options where they make sense.
How do I know if my pool is leaking?
If the level drops noticeably faster than normal evaporation (especially with the cover on) or you see damp ground near the pool or plant room, it's worth checking.
Can a liner leak be patched?
Often, yes, if the liner is otherwise in good condition. If it's aged, replacement may be better value.
Should I keep running the pump if the pool is leaking?
Keep the water above the skimmer so the pump doesn't run dry. If in doubt, call us on 07879 067691.
Are repairs guaranteed?
Yes. Guarantee terms depend on the work and parts, and are confirmed in writing.
Do you work on above-ground pools?
Yes. We repair above-ground pools as well as in-ground pools.
Can you repair commercial pool equipment?
Yes. We work with domestic and commercial clients.
Which areas do you cover for repairs?
Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and London.
