About this service

A new liner, a new-looking pool.

Vinyl liners do a hard job. Sun, chemicals and winter frosts slowly make them brittle, faded and prone to splits, and an old liner is one of the most common causes of water loss we find.

We measure your pool accurately, help you choose a colour and pattern, and fit the new liner with care so it sits tight to the walls and floor with no creases. Where the wall or floor underneath needs attention, we repair it first so the new liner lasts.

Liner replacement is often the most cost-effective way to refresh an older pool, and it can be combined with new fittings, steps or a plant room upgrade at the same time.

If it's ignored

Signs your liner is due.

Liners rarely fail overnight. These warning signs usually come first.

Water loss

Splits and pinholes, often near fittings or steps, let water escape slowly. You top up, pay for chemicals and heat, and lose them again.

Fading and staining

Bleached patterns and stains that won't clean off show the vinyl is breaking down.

Wrinkles and pulling

A liner that has shrunk or stretched pulls away from the bead track or creases on the floor.

Brittle vinyl

Hard, stiff vinyl cracks easily, especially at the waterline.

Watch out for

Common mistakes we see

  • Patching an old liner over and over
  • Ordering a liner without precise measurements
  • Fitting over a damaged floor or wall
  • Draining a pool without checking the ground water

Our process

Five clear steps, no surprises.

  1. 01

    Site visit

We inspect the pool, check the walls and floor, and talk through colours and options.

  2. 02

    Measuring

The pool is measured carefully so the liner is made to fit.

  3. 03

    Preparation

The pool is drained, the old liner removed and any wall or floor repairs made.

  4. 04

    Fitting

The new liner is fitted, vacuumed into place and filled, with fittings resealed.

  5. 05

    Rebalancing

Water is balanced and equipment checked before handing back.

Skimmers, returns and lights are resealed with new gaskets.

Bead track checks

Damaged track is replaced so the liner locks in securely.

"Fantastic service by Anthony, Owner of Baldwin's Pools. I had some stupid quotes, and told Anthony what I had to spend, and he got my pool project done on budget as agreed, not a pound out... overall the site was kept neat and tidy. Refreshing to deal with this company."
